Cynthia began her modeling career when she relocated from New York. After a brief period, Cynthia signed a 5-year agreement to work with Wihelmina Models. It led to an extremely profitable book as well as a design for Essence Magazine. Cynthia's cover for Essence wasn't just one of their top-performing covers, but it was Susan Taylor's favourite. Cynthia's next cover was scheduled within a short time, setting the foundation for a long-lasting career. Next stop was Paris in addition to Milan. There she was seen walking the catwalks at Paris Fashion Week. After having lived abroad for nearly an entire time, Cynthia returned to New York City and participated very sought-after in advertising ads for Maybelline, Oil of Olay and Macy's. Elle's Essence's Vanity Fair magazine editorials soon came in. One of her most memorable career moments was being chosen over Naomi Campbell for a co-starring role opposite Sandra Bernhadt in the film "Without You I'm Nothing."
